Online auctions account for the 10 per cent of De Beers production that is not sold at Sights. De Beers has introduced a new online sealed bid tender for some of its rough diamonds. The offer, which went live last week, allows buyers to key in the price they are prepared to pay for a lot, unseen by other bidders.
