The Dress Watch Study – By Nolan Daniel White

Limited edition sterling silver dress watch designed by TAWC and Nolan Daniel White. Only 25 pieces made. Crafted in Copenhagen and sold to support Canada’s wildfire relief.

Each piece draws from Nolan’s archive of vintage dials, inspired by the elegance of early 20th-century watchmaking. The goal was simple: design a dress watch rooted in history, yet relevant for today.

The Design

  • A modern take on Art Deco style

  • Clean dial with subtle details

  • Interplay of radial and linear brushed finishes that shift in light

  • Applied Roman numerals for sharp legibility

  • A subdivided minute track, refined through multiple iterations

The Sterling Silver Case

  • Crafted in .925 sterling silver

  • Silver carries a rare charm in watchmaking

  • Heavier than steel, softer than gold, and prone to oxidation

  • These traits make silver unique—over time, it develops a patina that reflects your story

  • Each case is tested for purity and stamped with Copenhagen’s Three Towers silver hallmark

Why Silver?

Most brands avoid silver.
But silver watches age gracefully.
Every mark and tone adds character, making your watch truly personal.

Do you want a watch that records your life with every wear? This piece is designed for that connection.

Giving Back

All profits go to the Canadian Wildfire Fund. Your purchase will:

  • Strengthen wildfire preparedness

  • Provide immediate relief to affected communities

  • Support long-term recovery efforts

Every watch sold makes a difference.

TAWC and Montreal-based writer Nolan Daniel White collaborated on The Dress Watch Study, a limited edition of 25 sterling silver watches inspired by vintage dials. Each case is hallmarked in Copenhagen and designed to age with a unique patina. All proceeds support Canada’s wildfire response.

Cuervo Y Sobrinos Espléndidos Heritage 2452.1HLE: A Vintage-Inspired Rectangular Watch For Collectors

Looking for a watch with a bold, vintage silhouette?

The Cuervo Y Sobrinos Espléndidos Heritage 2452.1HLE brings back a 1930s design that once made the brand a global name.

This model isn’t just about style—it’s built for daily wear with a strong sense of identity.

Why collectors notice the Espléndidos Heritage
  • Features a distinctive curved rectangular case
You rarely see this shape in modern watches. Cuervo Y Sobrinos first introduced it in the 1930s.

  • Case follows the curve of your wrist
Smooth lines and a low profile keep it comfortable, even if you wear it all day.

  • Clean dial with classic details
You get a clear view of time without distractions. The vintage cues feel purposeful, not decorative.

  • Sized for presence, not bulk
It draws attention without being oversized. You won’t need to explain your watch—it speaks for itself.

Why it feels different on the wrist

  • Most rectangular watches today are flat and boxy
This one wraps around your wrist with flow. Try it once, and you’ll notice the fit instantly.

  • Designed with proportion, not just design
The case doesn’t overpower the dial. It balances shape and readability.

Who is it for?

  • You enjoy mechanical watches with a backstory

  • You appreciate Latin design influences, not just Swiss minimalism

  • You want a heritage model that doesn’t feel like a museum piece

Based in Havana, Sold Worldwide

Cuervo Y Sobrinos is still deeply connected to Havana, its original home. But this model speaks to watch lovers from Jaipur to Geneva, especially those who collect art-deco watches or unusual case shapes.

Have you worn a rectangular watch that truly fits your wrist?

This one might change how you see non-round watches.
