Spot on. The watches from Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille are universal liquid assets now. They are well made and recognizable. There is comfort for collectors in buying from these brands because buyers and sellers will value their watches as a recognized currency. The future belongs to brands with a strong reputation and the means to invest in large scale promotional campaigns. But for the majority of professionals in the industry, most of whom are active in the entry level and mid-range sectors, the outlook is less bright.
