We are a society of waste and overconsumption. We throw things away that we don't need to. The Repair Cafe was initiated by Martine Postma. She organized the very first Repair Cafe in Amsterdam, on October 18, 2009. Since 2011, Repair Cafe Foundation has provided professional support to local groups in the Netherlands and other countries wishing to start their own Repair Cafe.
