If the cost of producing melee diamonds are high, the lab-grown diamond producers won't bother to produce, because they can't make money. When lab-grown diamond jewelry manufacturers change and adapt, consumers will also change and adapt. Period. Finally, China will continue to dominate the lab-grown diamond market for many decades.

IGI Grades World’s Largest Lab-Grown Diamond
The International Gemological Institute (IGI) has graded a 30.18 carat lab-grown diamond that it claims is the world's largest polished synthetic diamond. Ethereal Green Diamond created the emerald-cut, H-color, VS2-clarity diamond, named Pride of India. The diamond was made using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method.
