Limited Edition Celestial Cabochon Bead Ring By Anthony Lent

Discover the Limited-Edition Celestial Cabochon Bead Ring by Anthony Lent. A handcrafted piece from the Celestial Collection inspired by astronomy, art, and goldsmithing traditions.

The Celestial Collection is Anthony Lent’s largest body of work.

It tells a story about the cosmos, astronomy, and the history of art.

Each piece draws from Tony Lent’s lifelong passion for:

  • Artisan horology and early timekeeping

  • Renaissance mechanisms that combined science and art

  • The age of sundials and planetary predictions, when the sky was seen as a key to nature’s secrets

The Celestial Cabochon Bead Ring reflects this journey.
It connects past traditions with modern craftsmanship.

About Anthony Lent

  • 50 years of mastery in jewelry design and goldsmithing

  • Known for sculptural creations that blend storytelling with craftsmanship

  • Each design is a wearable work of art with intricate detail

Tony’s path began at the Philadelphia College of Art, where he studied sculpture.
He noticed that artists like Cellini and Dürer were also goldsmiths.
He also admired the works of René Lalique, René Boivin, and Mario Buccellati.

The German Influence

In 1971, Tony moved to Germany to study goldsmithing at the Fachhochschule in Schwäbisch-Gmünd.
There, he immersed himself in:

  • Goldsmithing technologies

  • Precision craftsmanship

This training built the foundation of his later work.

Career in New York

On returning to the US, Tony worked in New York City with top fine jewelry houses.
At the same time, he launched a line of bespoke jewelry showcased in galleries worldwide.

He also became a professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
From 1990–2001, he served as chairman of the Jewelry Design department, guiding a new generation of designers.

A Family Legacy

In 2013, Tony’s sons David and Max founded the Anthony Lent brand.
Together, they continue the family’s tradition of fine American jewelry.
Their focus is on:

  • Preserving Tony’s artistic vision
