Gemfields has released the financial outcomes of its recent rough emerald auction, which took place from May 4 to May 21, 2026, and featured a selection of higher-quality gemstones. The event achieved strong market demand, generating a total revenue of USD 26.8 million. Buyer competition was robust, resulting in the sale of 36 out of the 37 available lots, representing a 97% clearance rate. In terms of volume, the market absorbed 99% of the supply, with 183,385 carats sold out of the 185,135 carats put up for bid. This high demand drove the average realized price to an impressive USD 146.08 per carat.
