X-Men No. 1
A near-mint copy of X-Men No.1 has been sold for US$807300 in an auction overseen by ComicConnect. X-Men No.1, which was written by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby in 1963, features the very first appearance of Marvel's team of mutant superheroes and their arch-nemesis, Magento. This particular issue has been graded a 9.6 by the Certified Guarantee Company. That means the book is in near-mint condition, despite being nearly 60 years old and printed on newsprint that was never meant to last. The winner bidder thinks these kinds of collectibles are gong to keep growing in value. I wish him good luck.
