Pétrus 2000

Petrus 2000 that spent 14 months aboard the International Space Station, as part of a series of experiments undertaken by Space Cargo Unlimited is for sale. Christie's is offering the wine for private sale with all proceeds going towards funding future space missions. The space-aged Petrus 200 will be offered alongside a regular bottle, so the buyer can compare the two. The set will come housed in a special trunk. For collectors only.

Beeple’s Opus

The first virtual Non-Fungible Token (NFT) artwork to be sold at Christie's closed at US$69,346,250 million during an online auction. The record-breaking sale of 'Everydays: The First 5000 Days' catapults the creator, Mike Winkelmann, who goes by Beeple, near the summit of the most expensive living artists to date, placing him just below David Hockney and Jeff Koons.

Everydays: The First 5000 Days

A collage comprised of 5000 images taken over the course of 13 years by digital artist Beeple will become the first of its kind to go under the hammer at Christie's auction house. Everydays: The First 5000 Days will be the first purely digital Non-Fungible Token (NFT) art work to go on sale in this way. An NFT is a unique digital token which effectively verifies authenticity and ownership. It is encrypted with the artists signature on the blockchain, a digital ledger used in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. Bidding will start at US$100 and will run from February 25 to March 11, 2021.

Cartier Crash

Cartier Crash offered at Christie's has set a new auction record, hitting a remarkable US$225000 before premiums. The result achieved at Christie's shows the increased interest in vintage Cartier pieces, especially like the Crash. Had it been a '70s or '80s version with the original style dial, it could have easily done nearly double the result. Take a look.
