The Bleu Royal, a 17.61 carat internally flawless fancy vivid blue diamond has been sold for about US$44 million at Christie's Magnificent Jewels sale in Geneva on November 7, 2023.

Jeff Koons Balloon Monkey (Magenta)

On June 28, 2022, Christie's will begin taking bids for Balloon Monkey (Magenta) at its 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale. Current owners, billionaire Victor Pinchuk and his wife Olena Pinchuk, are selling the sculpture to raise funds for humanitarian aid for those directly impacted by the war in Ukraine. Proceeds from the sale will be used to assist soldiers and civilians that have been wounded during the conflict and require prosthetics, medical treatment and rehabilitation services.

Alrosa Spectacle Diamond

The Alrosa Spectacle Diamond, a 100.94 carat, D-color, internally flawless, type IIa diamond was sold for US$14.1 million at Christie's Geneva's Magnificent Jewels sale. The emerald-cut diamond is said to be the largest diamond ever cut in Russia. Alrosa recovered the diamond, originally a 207.29 carat rough, in Udachny in 2016, later polishing it at the Diamonds of Alrosa facility in Moscow.

Stephanie de Beauharnais Jewels

Jewelry set once belonging to Stephanie de Beauharnais, Grand Duchess of Baden and the adoptive daughter of Napoleon Bonaparte, is going up for auction 200 years after Napoleon's death. The jewels will be sold individually at Christie's in Geneva on May 12, 2021. As always, auctions are full of surprises.
