Gallet’s Modern Revival

After nearly two centuries of watchmaking heritage that faded away in the early 1990s, historic Swiss watchmaker Gallet has officially relaunched through a partnership with Breitling. Established in 1826 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Gallet earned a strong reputation for crafting durable tool watches used in aviation, racing, and sailing—most notably timing the Wright brothers' historic first powered flights in 1903. Staying true to its utilitarian origins, the revived maison is introducing four new collections designed for modern explorers, featuring pieces manufactured by Breitling that utilize either Gallet's in-house Sellita-based movements or Breitling's own calibers.
