Andrew Cody was regarded as one of Australia's foremost opal wholesalers, cutters, and exporters. Cody was instrumental in the establishment of opal as Australia's national gemstone and the development of standard opal nomenclature. Cody passed away on September 12, 2022 at the age of 71.
