Inclusions In Kenyan Rubies From The John Saul Mine

Rubies from the John Saul mine have been available in the market since the 1970s. Production has declined, and the rubies are seen less nowadays. The inclusions are short, iridescent needles, negative crystals surrounded by a plane of thin films. These are very similar to the inclusions in rubies from Mogok, Burma, and other marble-hosted deposits. The fact of the matter is inclusions are not always a conclusive indicator of geographic origin.
