Paulin Zapata Modul

The Paulin Zapata Modul is a unique collaboration born from an interest in applying Chicago-based designer Crystal Zapata’s meditative creative process to the art of timekeeping. Drawing inspiration from the heavens, Zapata translated classical markers of time—such as the changing seasons and planetary rotations—into the circular geometry of the watch dial. The design captures an ethereal quality through unique blurred numerals and a star-studded minute track, all enhanced by a gloss lacquer finish over fine sunburst engraving. Completing this celestial theme, the caseback features a bespoke constellation design, meticulously engraved in-house at Paulin’s Glasgow workshop.
