Z33

An exhibition at Z33, a design and art gallery in the Belgian city of Hasselt, is unique. It explores our relationship to water. I liked the concept. I think the designs make us think responsibly and act accordingly.

Surat, India

According to The National Council of Applied Economic Research, India's premier economic research institution, the average annual household income in Surat, India’s diamond manufacturing center, was the highest in the country at Rs. 457,000 ($10,900). Industry
analysts believe Surat polishes 80 percent of the worlds diamonds by volume and employs approximately one million people (?).

4 Degrees = Different Climate Regime

James Randerson's article on the effects of a 4 degrees global average + the catastrophic impact + other viewpoints @ http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/aug/06/climatechange.scienceofclimatechange was insightful. I think no one knows the dangerous tipping point. Do we have a real adaptation strategy? I doubt it.
