India’s Holi Festival
In India, colors are not only pretty but also have meaning. Holi represents the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. Traditionally the colors used in Holi came from flowers and herbs but today they are usually synthetic. Nothing is off-limits---legs, arms, hair, clothes---everything becomes a potential canvas.
