Lucapa Finds A 126 Carat Rough Diamond

Lucapa Diamond Company has unearthed a 126-carat, gem-quality rough from its Mothae mine in Lesotho. The stone is the largest recovered from the deposit since commercial production began in January, and the first diamond over 100 carats the mine has produced. Lucapa previously found five stones weighing more than 50 carats each during bulk sampling. The recovery comes after Lucapa unearthed a 130-carat, gem-quality stone from its Lulo alluvial mine in Angola earlier this week.
