Stern Spa, a pioneering retail venture that opened in June on Barra Beach, an upscale southern suburb of Rio de Janeiro, combines the sale of gemstone jewelry with body treatments as part of a brand-building effort designed to make the H. Stern name synonymous with well being and self-gratification. The spa, located inside the brand's new boutique at the Rio Design Barra Shopping Center, is managed by French beauty giant L'Occitane, which has created an exclusive pearl powder peel and precious stone massage for clients.
